Rising singer known for her soulful and passionate voice, Nectar Woode releases her EP ‘Naturally‘, spreading hope to her listeners as they trudge through life.
In the weeks leading up to her EP release, Nectar gave sneak peeks of what to expect from ‘Naturally‘, sharing her laid-back, chilled rhythmic tracks such as ‘Rivers End‘ and her Elton John collaboration on ‘Wine Into Water‘.
Her new EP release conveys messages of hope, joy and reflecting on how life can go up and down, but she tries to build encouragement for her listeners throughout the laid-back and soulful tracks, teaching people that you have got to have self-belief and courage and remind yourself that you are doing well. From songs such as ‘Naturally‘ and ‘Rivers End‘, they portray themes of finding the light in life and being your ‘own best friend’.
“This project explores mistakes, frustration, a noisy brain, being in love and self-love. ‘Naturally’ feels like an honest title for all these themes.”
From describing the rollercoaster life can throw your way like ‘Naturally‘ and exploring the theme of love and relationships and discovering self-love in ‘Roses In The Dark‘ to finding your inner-child in ‘Rivers End‘, Nectar goes on a self-discovery journey of figuring out the funny way of life and learning to find the balance of hope and a breeze of light.
Marking her second ‘BBC Radio1 Hottest Record’ from the project following ‘Lights Off’ earlier this year, Nectar’s trajectory has continued on the rise, having sold out her debut headline show at London’s Jazz Cafe in just two days, alongside special support slots at Ronnie Scott’s and BRITs Week alongside Olivia Dean.
