Pop sensation Teddy Swims returns to music, entering a new era with the new release ‘Mr Know It All‘.
Following on from the 2025 single collaboration ‘Allegedly‘ with Summer Walker, Teddy returns to the brand new year of 2026 with ‘Mr Know It All‘, which he can only describe as him entering a new chapter of music.
With a chilled, laidback melody containing an 80s-rock genre, the new track conveys self-sabotaging in a relationship, knowing the heartbreak is coming your way, feeling like ‘you’ve seen the future like it is written on the wall‘. As Teddy and his distinct and powerful vocals heighten the emotion of regret and reflections, the music may have started with a laidback piano, but as the chorus dives in, the pounding beat of the drums increases the passion inside the song, making it more emotive to listen to.
“‘Mr. Know It All’ explores the idea that love can become a self-fulfilling contradiction. When you believe you already know how it ends, you protect yourself by holding back and that distance becomes the reason it fails. But when you try to fight that fate and control every outcome, you can end up suffocating the connection. It’s about how both fear and control can quietly undo something real. It’s essentially a spin on Robert K. Merton’s concepts of self-destroying prophecy versus the self-fulfilling prophecy also known as ‘The Prophet’s Dilemma’.”

“Mr. Know It All” reunites Swims with co-writers and producers Julian Bunetta, Ammo, and John Ryan — with additional writing from Eskeerdo and first-time collaborator Ed Drewett.
The Grammy-nominated singer has always remained with this style, where he uses groove-driven rhythms that help elevate the raw emotions within the songs, but also goes further with this by the way he sings, making it visceral.
Building up to the unveiling of his new single, Teddy captured many hearts at Coachella last weekend, where he gave a remarkable performance on the main stage. There was also an appearance from pop sensation Joe Jonas, dueting with Teddy on the Jonas Brothers hit single ‘When You Look Me In The Eyes‘. There was an even more exciting reaction when Teddy also brought out Naughties singer Vanessa Carlton, performing the popular song ‘A Thousand Miles‘.
With a meteoric climb behind him, “Mr. Know It All” out now, and a handful of thrilling dates ahead, Swims is embarking on what looks to be his biggest, boldest, and brightest era yet.
