The multi-platinum vocal harmony group, The Overtones, are back, from recently kicking off their Christmas ‘Good Times’ tour to releasing their brand new single, ‘Christmas Everyday‘.
Putting everyone in a joyful holiday mood with their uplifting single ‘Christmas Every Day‘, The Overtones spread positive messages about the Christmas season, where they hope and anticipate spending the festive holiday with family and loved ones, which everyone can connect with.
While known for their incredible vocals, sensational dance moves and chemistry, The Overtones are popular for their uplifting covers of ‘I Say A Little Prayer‘ and ‘Runaround Sue‘ to their unique and captivating original songs ‘Gambling Man‘ to ‘Rose Tinted’, they know how to bring a connection and love inside their music.
From achieving five Top 10 albums, and 11 sell-out UK tours with their latest album ‘10’ also becoming the group’s very first UK Number 1 on the Official UK Independent Album Chart, there has only been one Christmas original, which was four years ago with ‘This Christmas‘, so this marks a sensational release for the group.
Written by American singer-songwriter David Archuleta, and produced by Julian Hinton and Simon Bloor, the new feel-good Christmas release is not only increasing the Christmas spirit around their listeners but is also fundraising for My Diabetes Story, which band member Jay James launched on the 14th of November in support of JDRF and Diabetes UK. It is a community hub encouraging others to share their stories to provide peer support, hope, and inspiration to all individuals and families living with Type 1 diabetes.
Speaking of the track, Mike from The Overtones said: “It’s been 4 years since our last Christmas Single! The fact we’re back out on the road for our biggest-ever Christmas tour, really means it will be ‘Good Times’ with ‘Christmas Everyday’. This is a feel-good Christmas classic in the making and we can’t wait for people to hear it and see them singing it! Naturally this also combines with raising awareness for something so close to our hearts. Seeing what little Franklin, Jay and all the family have been through in the last year has been heartbreaking, it equally opened our eyes to what Type 1 diabetes is. We simply had no idea. We’re proud to support them and the diabetes community in the best way we can.”
With a festive song fundraising for an important cause in aid to help families affected with diabetes and supporting their band member, Jay James, whose son Franklin, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 3 years old, it is heartwarming to see the band commit and show their help, while still trying to brighten up someone’s day with their music.
Why not listen to the new Christmas song now?
