Recently, sibling duo Everyone You Know (EYK) and rising artist and producer Joy Anonymous have teamed up to release their club-ready anthem ‘Just For The Times’.
The single title speaks for itself, explaining how the song is about remembering times before lockdown, where everything was much more vibrant and happier. Not sitting in your pyjamas or loungewear all day, not learning through a screen and being able to have social contact with friends and family.
However, the music video to ‘Just For The Good Times‘ gives us a feeling of hope, how eventually we will return to our lives where we can go clubbing in a venue with thousands of people or being able to give an unforgettable hug to your loved ones.
Throughout the uptempo music, videos of people experiencing the energy rushing through nightclubs or the memory of hugging people that we cannot right now. The music video gives a nostalgic vibe that is magical and bittersweet.
Joy sent us the initial idea back in Feb 2019. We loved it and knew we’d use it but it wasn’t quite right for us at the time. 2 years and 3 lockdowns later we decided to come back to it with a fresh pair of ears. We wanted to make it something special, something everyone can relate too, and something timeless that gives people hope and prosperity. We’re so excited to finally have this out, hope you enjoy it.”
Everyone You Know
We wanted to write an anthem that was dedicated to the times to come and reminiscing on the times we’ve had and I couldn’t think of a better time to do it than finding joy with Everyone You Know.“
