Rising star Lila Drew is filled with excitement about finding new love inside her new, blissful single ‘Til You’re Not Around‘.
Following on from another soulful pop track, ‘Wine‘, the breakout artist pours out her heart and passion in her new single, exploring the beautiful and anticipatory feelings you can get when feeling the exciting and nervous rush of falling in love; describing the magical emotions when you get butterflies in your stomach, to the chemistry pouring in every time you meet someone you are falling for. Along with her angelic, magnetic voice, which entices you into the enchanting music, it is also the playful, soft and tender musical arrangements which draw you into her fairytale dream of wanting to feel a happiness you can only find in love. It is like you are running in a field filled with vibrancy, colours and hearts, where everything seems perfect, and nothing can go wrong. “When I moved to New York, I fell in love for the second time,” she says. “It was the beginning of my first fall and I was totally caught by surprise. ‘Til You’re Not Around’ is a kind of playful account of the beginning of something so pure and sweet. Walking across the Williamsburg bridge late at night, running into unexpected friends, sitting by the radiator. I felt so inspired by this new kind of love and the song came so naturally.”

The track marks her third release from an upcoming album made in collaboration with DiSerafino, following recent singles ‘Same Old Song’ and ‘Wine’. Recorded over the last year and a half across studios in New York City and upstate New York, these songs pair Lila’s emotionally resonant songwriting with DiSerafino’s ear for visceral sonic detail.
Born and raised in Los Angeles and New York-based, starting out putting creative words to paper at age 11, Lila continued to show her passion for songwriting and creating music which speaks true to her heart and soul, and now she is becoming a rising star in the independent music industry, where everyone will feel captivated by her warm glow and sensational voice.
