Pop indie singer-songwriter Ashe marks a new chapter in her music career with the release of her new album, ‘Girl Of Your Dreams‘.
Weeks ahead of her fourth studio album release, Ashe gave fans an early surprise, unveiling some of her new featured tracks on her forthcoming project, such as ‘Funeral‘ and the pop hit ‘Stop The Wedding‘, which gained many streams on music platforms.
The lead single rose sharply on Spotify in the UK and US charts and earned a spot on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing 100 million streams. ‘Stop The Wedding!’ is one of the many songs on the album’s song list, which contains attractive and compelling uplifting soulful pop melodies, deriving from influences from the 60s and 70s, creating rhythmic catchy songs which you cannot help but feel hypnotised by.
Not only this, but it gives us a taste of her new project, crafting a song that was not only blissful and anticipated to listen to, but also Ashe’s artistic way to bring in elements of theatrical musical productions, where she incorporates a mix of jazz and energetic violins and upbeat piano pop, making you want to dance along with her, while she conveys a powerful message that you have a choice to leave a relationship if you feel like it isn’t working anymore, and that who you love with is always your choice only. “You don’t have to waste your night/And wear your heart out/The warning signs are flashing now/Stop the wedding! (Ah-ah)/Stop the wedding! (Ah-ah).”
‘Girl Of Your Dreams’ is halved into two sections where Ashe paints an emotional story blending having control and emotional fulfilment inside your life and navigating relationship choices to reflecting on bittersweet, warm memories of past loves inside songs ‘Sunburn‘ and ‘Always September‘, and together Ashe combines the two, which crafts a poignant and inspirational picture on learning from love and relationships and reminding everyone you can do anything you want. She reflects on the important lesson of personal growth, inspiring everyone to feel fulfilled in life.
“I feel like I’ve been trying to write The Girl Of Your Dreams album my entire life,” Ashe describes of the album. “I think I made it from the most healed, actualized version of myself and that gave me a lot of freedom to be funny, and dramatic, and heartbroken, and not afraid of any of it!!!”
Her new album turns a new page for Ashe, where she looks back on the experiences that have shaped her and turns them into profound tracks filled with wisdom and hope in love. ‘Girl Of Your Dreams‘ is about being healed and reminding yourself that you are stronger than you think; how love can be filled with mistakes, hurt, and romantic gestures, but all of them are stepping stones to a much better love which will come your way.
Ashe’s meteoric rise to pop stardom over the years has led to notable collaborations and stages shared with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Finneas, Noah Kahan and Niall Horan. 2025 found her touring with Kelsea Ballerini and Gracie Abrams. Most recently, she wrapped a series of dates supporting Benson Boone. Her global smash hit “Moral of the Story” was featured on the original soundtrack of Netflix’s To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020) after gaining billions of streams and reaching #2 on both the Global and U.S. Spotify Viral 50 charts.
