Rising artist Jamie Fine captures the importance of mental health in her new single ‘Made For This‘.
Following on from another powerful anthem on breakups in relationships, ‘Waking Up Ok‘, Jamie continues to go on a self-acceptance journey where she opens up to her insecurities and vulnerable emotions inside her collection of tracks and with her new single release she follows this through, carrying the importance of mental health awareness and being a guiding light and an example to how mental health struggles can impact anyone, but using her inspiriational words and storytelling through her creative music, she portrays themes of hope while being unfiltered in her lyrics filled with honesty.
This is what Jamie does in her new release ‘Made For This‘ where she paints the picture of what the reality is like for people experiencing anxiety and mental health, where you can go from overthinking certain situations to wondering if you can go on the hectic journey we call life, but as Jamie points out in her lyrics, you are made for this life, there are just ups and downs which makes life more adventurous, giving us power and strength – a inpsirational and positive influence this song can have on people and Jamie crafts the real scene of what it is like to be in a mental struggle.
Leading up to the release of the song, Jamie made a donation to Ronald McDonald House Global for each pre-save from the song. On choosing to do this, she explains, “I chose the Ronald McDonald House as a charity for my pre-save campaign mostly because of the meaning of the song itself. ‘Made for this’ is a song about not giving up. It’s about reminding yourself that even if things feel hard, to keep going. I think the RMH shares that sentiment. They give families a safe place while they’re going through one of the most challenging things in their lives and I’ve watched it help families not give up. It’s such a beautiful charity and the programs they run help so many people in so many places. My mom also spent years volunteering at the RMH in Ottawa and was so in awe of the work they did. It was just such a perfect fit!”
Looking ahead, Jamie will head back on the road with a series of upcoming tour dates across the U.S., UK, and Canada, including a stop in Philadelphia tonight + stops in Dublin, London, and Toronto, before wrapping up the year in her hometown of Ottawa.
Why not listen to the powerful anthem now?
