Emerging soul singer-songwriter Chelsea Jordan inspires everyone to take risks in her new single ‘Worst Case‘.
Following on from her EP ‘Better Late Than Not At All‘, Chelsea continues to bring her beautiful storytelling about life, relationships and figuring yourself out along the way into her music, with a bright, comforting voice filled with warmth which makes you feel at home. Chelsea has that music persona where you can feel a personal connection to her creative words in her music and to the sound of her soothing and soulful voice filled with passion.
Like her EP, Chelsea brings that same delicate and soft atmosphere inside her new release ‘Worst Case‘ where she sings among a laidback drum and soft tender acoustics, singing on the heartfelt story of taking risks in life, whether that is in relationships and dating or taking chances on yourself; she inspires and teaches her listeners a lesson on to never hold yourself back from opportunties because worst case it could go bad or good, but you never know unless you try. “Worst case/He’ll be someone I knew in a few days/A story I can tell in my old age/Either way, I know I′ll be good, I’ll be fine, go ahead, lose my mind ′cause/Worst case/Therе’s somethin′ ’bout a beautiful mistake/Evеn if it costs you a heartbreak.”
There is something special and unique about this track where Chelsea creates an authentic story that isn’t on the theme of relationships, but that feeling when you are about to meet up with someone, and you’re letting the fears and anxieties run through your head, and with this delightful track, Chelsea becomes a friend you can rely on where she says Take that risk; otherwise you will never know. A message which anyone can relate to.
“The theme of ‘worst case’ is ‘choosing curiosity over certainty’. This song is special because it’s entirely based on the true story of me meeting a guy in Paris 4 days before flying back to LA. We ended up spending all 4 days together and the minute I landed in LA, he called me and said “meet me in New York tomorrow. I need to see you”. Next thing I knew I was getting on a flight the next day to New York. I have a very strong relationship with my intuition and I trust it all at costs — no matter what, it always leads me somewhere new & unexpected.”
