As pop sensation Natasha Bedingfield says in her new single ‘You haven’t seen nothing yet’, and this is definitely true with her new track release ‘Dot Dot Dot‘.
With it being two decades since Natasha made her mark in the music industry with her debut album ‘Unwritten‘, the music icon now enters a new chapter where she is experimenting with new genres of music, continuing to deliver messages of inspirational positivity and uplifting her listeners as she has always done, but now with a different vibe and rhythm in her new single.
‘Dot Dot Dot‘ marks her new era in Natasha’s sound, still sticking with her signature sound of uplifting R&B and pop, but transitioning into a new style, which is dance synth pop, increasing the positive energy in her music, which Natasha has always been famous for. From early hits like ‘Pocketful of Sunshine‘ and ‘Unwritten‘, her current track speaks to similar themes, but instead of just focusing on the optimistic side of things, Natasha combines the other side of the grass, where she sings with passion and an empowering force about not letting fear take you away from achieving your dreams in this world. “Dot, dot, dot/To be continued/Forgot, got, got/The greatness within you/You’ve seen it all/Or maybe you haven’t/Baby, you haven’t seen nothing yet (Oh yeah, yeah).”
It is definitely a catchy and compelling song which will have you singing it in your head for ages, and this isn’t no surprise, especially with the positive, affirming lyrics that only Natasha can craft.
Co-written with long-time friend Brett Hitte, an indie songwriter formerly of the band Frenship. They met at a pro hockey player’s house, and the first song they wrote, ‘Dot Dot Dot’ was like a portal opened to a new level compared to what she had been working on.
“That song felt like a true story for both of us of what life in the music industry is like,” Bedingfield explains. “To be at an athlete friend’s house felt like parallels to being in the ring and being punched down and asking yourself ‘Why should I keep doing this?’ Then you just get back up and stay because human beings need art. We make art out of the hard stuff we go through. We alchemize it.”

While her songs keep going viral, she continues to go out on the road all the time doing festivals and headline shows and comes back to writing and producing whenever she can. She’s found social media to be a great way to connect with her still-expanding global audience.
