Experience Brooke Combe’s Soulful Journey in ‘Love Was Made Of Stone’

Rising singer-songwriter Brooke Combe knows how to transform songs of heartbreak into empowering, rhythmic tracks which are positive and spirited to listen to, especially in her new single ‘Love Was Made Of Stone‘.

Following on from ‘Tears Won’t Lie‘, the rising artist from Scotland stands firmly on her roots of uplifting jazz and soul, bringing infectious sounds of acoustics, gospel and Northern soul. She creates an atmosphere of positivity and light in her music, and you cannot help but feel in a happier spirit when you hear her enchanting and influential voice.

Inside ‘Love Was Made Of Stone‘, with passion and beautiful soul inside her track, Brooke sings with a angelic and grounded voice on moving on from a breakup that went wrong and now she is reflecting on the bittersweet memories in her past relationship and looking back on the signs of how attached she felt but their emotions were guarded and she had to find the strength to let go. An inspiring song which can resonate with anyone wanting to let go of a love that isn’t doing them any good. “In and out your life/I’m a whisper in the breeze/A star you couldn’t keep/Too chained to your own needs.”

“The song is about years of what was thought to be real love, but something that turns into manipulation and game playing,” Brooke says of the track. “Almost like that toxic love we’re all aware exists, that you know is no good for you, but you keep holding on with the hope something may change, but it never does.”

Listening to her delightful and enchanting sound, which has become a beautiful addition to the music industry, the rising artist has a voice reminiscent of Macy Gray, Leon Bridges and The Supremes, where she blends poignant sounds of R&B, jazz and soul, making it hers and adding her unique voice to the mix, which is magical to listen to.

Back from her packed music sets at Truck Festival and Tramlines, Brooke now embarks on new gigs from a stream of UK and EU festivals across the summer, including Victorious Festival, Boardmasters and Sziget Festival, before a run of winter dates with Jalen N’gonda across the UK and Europe later this year, including a date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on October 28th. Brooke will also support Jalen N’Gonda on his North American dates through November and December. More info HERE.
