Like always, British Summer Time Hyde Park festival kicked off with a bang, starting on Saturday 27th June and finishing on Sunday 12th July- magical weekends that audiences will never forget.
Sensational headline acts taking place across the three hot summer weekends, such as Garth Brooks, ATEEZ, Maroon 5, Pitbull and the amazing Lewis Capaldi.
With three stages in the park, from The Great Oak, Rainbow Stage and The Birdcage, gracing them with the beautiful talent of music, various artists and bands from the mainstream and independent music industry performed with passion and soul to the crowds of London.
On Sunday 12th July, we had a wonderful chance to see Lewis Capaldi at this year’s end of BST Hyde Park festival for 2026, along with talented independent artists and groups like Conan Gray, Alessi Rose, Jacob Alon and Absolutely.
While The Great Oak Stage featured talented vocalists, BST Hyde Park brought more of a range of music genres from Alexandra Savior, Folk Bitch Trio, Sadie Jean, Ber, Murdo Mitchell, Beattie, Luke Hart and Mark Sharp and The Bicycle Thieves. A sensational group of musical acts indeed.
Excitedly waiting for Lewis Capaldi to enter the Great Oak Stage with 60,000 people in Hyde Park, being patient, it was a special insight for Lewis to invite a group of supporting acts from the independent music industry, showing the importance of indie music in society.
From Alessi Rose’s powerful vocals reminding us of pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo and Rock band Absolutely bringing the blasting rock electrical energy alive to the slow, romantic ballads from the angelic vocals of supporting acts Jacob Alon and Conan Gray. It was beautiful to see the creative work of original songs being performed by these artists.
At 8.30 PM, the stage was set for pop sensation and beautiful lyricist who has music awards from the Brits and the Grammys, Lewis Capaldi, to embrace the crowd with his viral hits on heartbreak, love and stories of life.
Taking in BST Hyde Park, Lewis knew how to engage audiences, making you feel like you’re his friend, not just a fan. Passionately singing his remarkable collection of songs from ‘Pointless’, ‘Before You Go’ to ‘Grace’ and ‘Someone You Loved’, you could hear and see people singing the songs they all love, singing Lewis’s words back to him, making it a moving moment all around.
Alongside the magnificent performance from the pop sensation, Lewis also invited Kooks’ frontman Luke Pritchard, a musical inspiration of his. Living the 2000s nostalgia across the crowds, Lewis and Luke duetted on the breakthrough song of The Kooks’ 2005 viral hit ‘Naive’.
While having a magical memory on stage, the 29-year-old singer spoke on how he never thought performing at Hyde Park this year was possible, thanking everyone for their love and support for him to continue living life and taking opportunities. An emotional speech relating to how he took a mental health break in 2023 after his last performance at Glastonbury Festival. Taking in the huge amounts of love, Lewis sings with his heart and soul on emotional ballads ‘Survive’ and ‘The Day That I Die’, showing everyone to appreciate these moments and live your life like there is no tomorrow, and most importantly, don’t let mental health take over your life.
Altogether, from all the special acts over the three weekends, BST Hyde Park yet again created magical moments people won’t forget.
