Nostalgia, memories and iconic music. On Friday 5th June, 90s boy band Boyzone reunited as a four for their ‘Two For The Road’ farewell Anniversary tour.
Always wanting to perform at Emirates Stadium in London, especially desired by former band member. Stephen Gately, who sadly passed away in 2009, was a dream come true for the boys, who hope to make their best friend and brother proud.
With supporting act S Club bringing the good vibes and their popular hits of ‘Reach’ and ‘S Club Party’, and DJ Harriet Scott and Rylan providing an awesome, upbeat set to uplift spirits ahead of the Boyzone gig, the stage was set for Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch to grace Emirates Stadium and sing to an enormous, loving crowd.
Bringing the energy, positivity and the heat, with extraordinary vocals and refreshing dance moves, they travelled back to their younger years as a boy band, connecting with their fans, singing hits from ‘Love Is A Hurricane’ and ‘Love Me For A Reason’ to ‘Picture Of You’ and ‘Love You Anyway’. With over 23 million records sold worldwide, Boyzone is one of the greatest bands of all time, and they take this title seriously.
While delivering nostalgic songs, it was emotional to see a surprise appearance from band member Mikey join the others singing ‘Words’. Embracing the current memory of performing and standing on the stage at Emirates Stadium, which will live forever in their memories of achievements, Mikey expressed his thanks and huge appreciation to fans supporting their journey of greatness and reflecting on the 33 years together.
Magical and moving moments were shared on the Friday night at Emirates Stadium. Along with boosting joy across the audience, the band members conveyed an important message, paying tribute to their best friend and brother, Stephen Gately, feeling his spirit come alive during their concert to emphasise the importance of loved ones around us and those who have passed.

It was a poignant moment where the band created a slideshow of talented singer Stephen in his Boyzone days and added a list of loved ones’ names, where fans sent in their own loved ones who sadly passed away.
Continuing to bring the happiness surrounding the stadium, there was another surprise which increased the excitement across the fans as Westlife former band member, Brian McFadden, joined his Boyzlife band member, Keith Duffy, to perform their latest upbeat single ‘Chills’.
It was a night filled with emotion, magic and memories which will never be forgotten – a party of remembrance and memories.
