From supporting huge stars like Stereophonics on their European arena tour, UK Stadium tour and UK Winter arena tour to Little Mix member Jade on her solo tour, rising star Finn Forster is becoming a success in his own unique, glittering spotlight, and he continues to prove his worth in the music industry, especially with his new single release ‘Strangers‘.
Following on from his upbeat previous track ‘Pablo’, Finn slows his new song down with a slow and sweet piano melody, while filled with sadness and rawness, Finn delves deep within his emotions, exploring the heartache when you go from lovers to strangers, thinking how fast someone can move on so quickly and quickly be happy again. It is something anyone can relate to, going through a heartwrenching breakup. “We went from strangers to lovers/Now we’ll never be friends/No matter how much time will pass/I know I can′t pretend/I’m sick of lying to myself/Saying I’ll be fine somehow/What′s the point in holding on/When you just let me down?/′Cause you’re doing just fine without me now′Cause you’re doing just fine without me now.”
While having moving music to attach to this gutwrenching song, combined with Finn’s northern vocals that ground and deepen the track further with emotion, you can feel every sadness and heartbreak as he sings the lyrics of wondering how someone can move on so quickly when they were in such a beautiful relationship that came crumbling down.
“Strangers is about the full circle moments you have with someone in a relationship. Going from total strangers, to being in love or meaning everything to them, to then going back to acting like strangers again. It’s one of those songs for me that came to me when I least expected it, and turned into a finished song really quickly. It doesn’t always come together that fast, but there’s something that feels incredibly raw and real when a song literally falls out of me in that way.”
