Exploring Chloe Qisha’s Emotional Depth in ‘Surprise Surprise’

Becoming one of many unique and influential voices in the music industry, Chloe Qisha is exploring a mix of sounds, making her a talented, versatile artist with a diverse range, as showcased on her new single ‘Surprise Surprise‘.

Following on from her previous single ‘YDH’, it seems the rising artist is experimenting with various sounds, developing new genres and finding her sound, exploring different beats and analysing how well they work with her exquisite vocals and music persona.

From having a repetition of upbeat, energetic and unique synth alternative pop hits such as ‘YDH’ and Sex, Drugs and Existential Dread‘, on her new single ‘Surprise Surprise‘, Chloe transitions this music style into a slow-soothing, melancholic acoustic ballad, where it is emotionally driven and is built with even more connection, making her listeners resonate with her lyrics even more.

With her large song collection so far since debuting in 2024 with VCR Home Video, Chloe continues to explore a range of themes from heartbreak and being in love to breakups and living through good and bad experiences in life. She creates heartfelt and honest lyrics which anyone can relate to while listening to her range of songs. It is remarkable and inspiring to see Chloe grow as an influential and empowering artist, seeing her art come alive and influencing many creatives in the industry.

With a slow, soothing acoustic melody, Chloe passionately sings in her emotionally driven single on loving someone and being attached to that someone special who is unfortunately emotionally unavailable, conveying emotions in her songwriting, unravelling the heartbreak and soul-crushing feelings, something which we can all relate to, especially being in a relationship or situationship. She has a talent for connecting on a deeper level with her audience, and that is why she is one of the most inspiring young artists to come out of the music world.

“‘Surprise Surprise’ wants to be the 3 minutes of affirmation you’d recite to get yourself out of that toxic relationship, but instead she catches your self-sabotage out in real-time and will soundtrack your life …as you run back to them.

With this song, I wanted to get straight into it. No mess, no fuss.

Generally, I love a ‘sad happy’ song – but this one’s just sad. It’s definitely a different side to me that I think is important to share, and it touches upon a really interesting concept that I’ve been writing a lot about in this next project of mine – which is that ‘push’ and ‘pull’ between instinct and reason – I love to capture the rawest moments of a feeling in my songs, even if its an ugly one.”
