Grammy-award-winning pop sensation Meghan Trainor has released her new seventh studio album, ‘Toy With Me‘, bringing the girl power and irresistible rhythms inside her new release.
In the build-up to the album release, the pop princess gave us two wonderful tracks, which got everyone hyped for her seventh album unveiling, including the hit songs ‘Shimmer‘ and ‘Get In Girl‘.
From her two releases, which feature on her new album, Meghan reveals from her inspirational lyrics that the new seventh music project will explore themes of girl power, empowering people and owning that self-love for yourself, which no one can take away from you. Describing that if no one wants to respect you or love you, then it is not your problem, it is theirs, and they’re missing out on you being their life. “Could you imagine losin’ someone like you? (Like you)/That’s the saddest story I’ve ever heard (Ever heard)/God, he’s the worst/’Cause he should have moved Heaven and Earth, woah/Mm, and I’ve been sayin’ this is long overdue (Overdue)/And I ain’t telling you it ain’t gonna hurt (It’s gonna hurt)/But stayin’ is worse/So you better kick that boy to the curb.”
Throughout her exceptional music collection so far, Meghan has continued to deliver songs which feel like that fifties era style music, giving the retro-pop genre, making it feel timeless and upbeat to listen to, making you transport into a feel-good mood that we all need in our lives. The new album follows 2024’s Timeless. Shortly after the album’s release, Meghan was also honoured with the Hitmaker Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, celebrating 10 years of hits since the release of her debut album, Title, and chart-topping smash “All About That Bass.”
