Rising star Mega expresses the importance of love and hope in ‘Let You Down’

Rising artist Mega knows how to connect to an audience on a personal level throughout her songs, and it is no surprise she has gained a growing audience from guesting in shows for Self Esteem, Angèle, Hozier and Nathan Rateliff, as well as airplay across Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio 5. Now she returns with another brand new single showing the importance of love and not ‘Let You Down‘.

Following on from her previous song, ‘Don’t Get Too Close‘, the North Londoner switches it up, going from putting her barriers up in relationships to being a shoulder to lean on when things get tough inside her recent single ‘Let You Down‘.

With the heartwarming melody of a guitar twang sliding through with graceful beats and a beautiful piano, the intro begins to resort to comfort and bring a loving and welcoming atmosphere into her music. Adding this with Mega’s deep and resonant vocals that give inspiration and compassion to her well-crafted lyrics of hope and determination, the song delivers a story of being there for someone as a light of guidelines.

Produced by Mega and Ed Riches (Bilal), who co-wrote the song together, the message conveyed throughout the emotive lyrics is about pushing away the negative thoughts that can drain your head and fighting for the power of positivity for living life.

Mega says, “Among all the noise and madness of life, sometimes it can be difficult to identify our own voices, or to hear what that inner voice is saying, particularly whilst attempting to block out the noise and negative voices of others. When we feel lost it can be particularly difficult to have faith in our own capabilities. ‘Let You Down’ is a reminder that voice never leaves us and to trust yourself.”
