While announcing his upcoming debut album, ‘Come Around And Love Me’, due September 8th, singer Jalen Ngonda anticipates his audience with the new single ‘Come Around and Love Me‘.
Growing up listening to the likes of Prince, Stevie Wonder and The Commodores, Jalen continues to deliver this iconic 70s sound throughout his music into the 21st century, and with songs inspired by these artists, it is no wonder why Jalen captivates audiences with his music.
Alongside his musical inspiration, Jalen’s vocals are another distinctive element inside his music; with an angelic voice, bringing the high-pitched harmonious vocals, the singer enhances the dreamy state inside his songs, and this is also shown through his new single ‘Come Around and Love Me‘.
His newly-released title track explores the experience of being in the early stages of a relationship where you urge for more love and being in their presence. Entwining this with the 70s Motown music creates a romantic charm travelling throughout the song.
“I wrote ‘Come Around and Love Me’ in New York at Hive Mind Studios in Brooklyn with Michael Buckley and Vince Chiarito, it was written late 2021 as soon as it was possible to fly to the USA after lockdown I jumped on a plane and we got to work! The song is about taking a chance in spite of the surrounding doubts”
