With the exciting announcement of her upcoming EP, ‘Nothing To Be Scared Of’, Charli Adams anticipates the audience with a new single, ‘Cry Over Everything‘.
Since her arrival on the music scene in 2020 with her debut EP, ‘Good at Being Young‘, Charli has continued to deliver intense emotion and passion inside her music. While examining her honest feelings within her songwriting, the alternative indie singer moves us in her new single ‘Cry Over Everything‘, which explores the overwhelming drama of living life.
Describing how life can be a chaotic mess which makes you want to ‘Cry Over Everything‘, it would be expected to have a sympathetic sound of sorrow in her new single. However, Adams decides to move away from the sympathy and gradually increases the tempo of the song, from the acoustic-mellow sound to a soaring guitar; as the song reaches the chorus, Charli drowns out her emotions explaining how life is filled with twists and turns; making it become unbearable.
“This song is about my overactive tear ducts and the title is actually the biggest understatement. Essentially my eyes well up when I feel any trace of emotion, good or bad. I cry when I yawn, laugh, or hear a well-written song. I‘ve always been a big feeler, and throughout my entire life I’ve been referred to as sensitive but I found myself in a career that fosters that and not only allows me the freedom of sensitivity but encourages it. This song is about embracing that part of yourself and recognizing its beauty and its essential role in the healing process.”

Born and raised in Alabama and now based in LA, Charli didn’t come from a musical family – in spite of this, something just clicked for her when it came to songwriting. It helped her express her emotions through songwriting, and it has succeeded very well with her collection of spirited music.
Why not listen to ‘Cry Over Everything’ now?
