Binki releases new ep 'Antennae'

Binki brings honesty and electrical rhythms to his new EP ‘Antennae’

While dance anthems are all about the buzz and hype these days, singer Binki moves into a different direction by adding a unique sound to his electronic synth collection and using qualities of truth and honesty to describe how he feels in this present time with his new EP ‘Antennae‘.

Binki’s EP release titled ‘Antennae‘ features six energetic tracks where the singer delves into his feelings about confidence, anxiety and how he truly feels within his mind. While containing an electrical rhythm of genres funk and synth-pop, there is a regular message portraying how life can be chaotic, but Binki is still determined to deliver positivity to his fans.

Tracks which demonstrate the honest thoughts within the artist’s mind are ‘Hotel Window‘ and ‘Rocket Ship‘, singing about how “Baby, I’m a rocket ship, uh-huh/How you gonna try and cage me in?/I don’t want to talk or mediate.”

With over 150 million streams to date, binki has picked up support across the like of BBC Radio 1, 6Music, Apple, FIFA, and won widespread praise for debut EP Motor Function and viral moments like ‘heyBB!’ and ‘Sea Sick’. Being influenced by Siouxsie Sioux and King Krule to Tyler, The Creator, Binki doesn’t beat around the bush with his lyrics; he is direct and tells it how it is within his songs.

A first-generation American whose family originates from Kenya, Baraka Ongeri (binki) grew up in Pennsylvania before moving to New York in 2018, after getting a degree in acting at UNC Greensboro. Now he is on to make his mark in the music industry by creating a mixture of upbeat songs and now soon beginning a 16-date US headline tour next month.
