Dynamic duo Dolores Forever return with their infectious new single ‘I love you but you’re making me sad’

The dynamic rising duo Dolores Forever, friends who are Hannah Wilson (from Yorkshire) and Julia Fabrin (from Copenhagen), are on the move with their new single ‘I love you but You’re making me sad‘.

With previous singles conveying stories about life and relationships like ‘When I Say So’ & ‘Conversations With Strangers’, the duo continue to grab our attention by being truthful in their lyrics and combining them with infectious indie pop music. With this said, the band returned with their new melancholy single, ‘I love you but You’re making me sad’, which brings honesty in explaining how they feel about another person. Beating around the bush and being straightforward is the special element in Dolores Forever and their songwriting, a talent only a few artists can conquer.

While having powerful lyrics, the duo have also got the ability to combine their insightful songs with a music production, which matches the feeling of the song, and this current single adds heartwrenching melodies that are both intriguing and energetic.

Produced by Askjell Solstrand (Sigrid, Aurora), ‘I Love You But You’re Making Me Sad’ sees the band take a more melancholic approach, embracing their descriptor of ‘indie ABBA’. The results speak for themselves, with a summer sad banger that’s set to confirm the duo as one of the most exciting acts around.

The band explain; “This song is about being lonely beside the one you love. Those maddening irritations that appear when a relationship has run its course. If you’ve ever been heartbroken about not being more heartbroken I Love You But You’re Making Me Sad is for you.”

Being on the rise since their debut in 2022, the duo are now making their way going from Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds Festivals last summer and with acclaim across the board from the likes of BBC Introducing, Radio 1, NME, The i, i-D Magazine, to now kicking off their summer festival tour.
