Singer Lissie releases her new single about heartbreak called ‘Night Moves’

Singers provide many stories about what love, heartbreak and relationships can do to you. They use their power of lyrics to put into delightful, tuneful songs which makes us deeply connected to them. This is what midwestern singer Lissie does in her new single, ‘Night Moves‘.

While previously sharing her new single ‘Flowers‘ and also announcing the upcoming release of her indie-folk album, Carving Canyons‘ out on the 16th of September, the singer decided to magically bring upon her new single about the story of heartbreaks and the different realities it can take us into.

While having an upbeat, Fleetwood Mac style of music, consisting of a pop and rock musical genre, Lissie stuns us away with her deeply sharp vocals, describing in the track how there are different perspectives on how heartbreak can take us. Either losing a loved one or coming out of a relationship, can destroy our feelings and leave us in pieces. This is what Lissie successfully talks about in her single.

Earlier this year, Lissie played a sold-out show in London at LaFayette following last year’s release of ‘Watch Over Me (Early Works 2002-2009)’ and the ‘Anniversary Edition’ of ‘Catching A Tiger’. Today, Lissie is thrilled to announce extensive North American tour-making stops in NYC, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, Iowa City, DC and more. Tickets go on-sale Friday. July 22 at 9 am local time.

Alongside her powerful single, Lissie also releases her music video and she shares how “We shot the Night Moves video about an hour outside of Portland, OR. The director Sergio Cilli, crew and I got a beautiful cabin near Mt. Hood and pulled off a pretty intense late-night shoot! The song itself is about being reminded of the absence of someone dear. From the way, the breeze feels on your skin, to the light of the fire, all the sense memories a summer evening elicits. In the video, I’m seen solo and with a partner, as well as my higher self. The parallel versions of what was or could be. A love lost that haunts but as time goes by, you recover from.”
