Surfaces release new single 'Whats been on your mind'

Texas duo Surfaces release their new single ‘Whats been on your mind?’ about opening-up

Continually, Texas pop duo Surfaces always bring the relaxed vibes when creating a high hit single like their newly released one called ‘What’s been on your mind?’.

Amassing over 11 billion streams, the duo is back at it again with their new single, ‘What’s been on your mind?’. The new single marks the follow-up to the groovy I Can’t Help But Feelwhich has amassed over 14.5 million streams thus far and was hailed by Rolling Stone who called the track, “fresh, breezy and a lot of fun.”

The new single contains their unique, ambitious sound, which creates a vibrant atmosphere all the way around. In the single, the duo describe a story of being there someone, helping them to try and open up to explain how they feel and really the message of their song, for ‘What’s been on their mind‘.

It is a valuable song, especially in this time in the world where it is difficult to open up to people due to the amount of mental health which creeps around, so the duo successfully put the heartfelt lyrics into the song with an upbeat sound, and sing with their harmonious vocals about letting yourself express your feelings loud and clear.

“Divin’ too deep in bags they left for you to store (yeah)

Every night I see you lost, and I want more (I want more)

I hear you talkin’, but the words don’t feel like yours”

“’ What’s Been On Your Mind?’ is a story of helping someone who needs to heal from a place that they can’t yet communicate about,” the duo say about the track. “At times when we’re hurting it feels selfish or vulnerable to open up to others and it’s often just easier to put up a facade. This story chases the idea that if you truly know and love someone, you’ll always be able to see through that face, that front, that safety net of words… and break down the walls that will lead to a healthier escape.”
