Clinton Kane releases single '14'

Clinton Kane describes the journey of childhood to adulthood on ’14’

It’s a difficult but memorable journey to go from a young child to transform into an adult, it seems like we are not the only ones who feel this way as Norwegian-Filipino singer-songwriter Clinton Kane experiences the same thing as us in society. The experience of growing up is what ’14’ is about.

From releasing his EP, ‘What it feels like‘ in 2019 and being a self-taught singer, guitarist, pianist and drummer, to gaining more than 752 million global streams, Clinton Kane is back to show the world what he can do on his next new single.

Sometimes life can throw many obstacles at us which get in the way. We experience so many feelings of anxiety, stress, excitement, and worry, these are many different emotions which can hit at different points in our lives, and this is what ’14’ is about.

A guitar-pop-led song with Clinton Kane’s melodious vocals describes the journey of what it is like from being 14 and growing up into adulthood. Explaining at 14 his “thinking about God again”, at 17 “feeling so out of place”, these can seem relatable because transporting into an adult is about figuring yourself out and who you want to be. This is what the talented singer educates us on, life is not always easy, but somehow we manage to get through it.

In speaking about the new song, Clinton says:

“I’ve teased this song for officially a year; I wish I took another year to tease, but I would’ve gotten cancelled. Can’t believe ‘14’ is finally out!

This song breaks my heart into a million pieces every single time I listen to it. I wrote it 2 years ago when I was at my lowest with myself – doubting every single thing about me: how I grew up, where I’m from, and who I am. This song took a year to write, with 30 different choruses and verses being written to this track. I hope you find peace when you listen to this song and know that you are not alone in this world.”
