Last year in 2021 was another year of a rollercoaster ride filled with highs and lows, but like always, one thing that continued to bring happiness to people’s lives was music. So let’s look back at some of the albums we enjoyed listening to.
The Lockdown Sessions – Sir Elton John

After releasing his last studio album in 2013, it was amazing to hear the charming vocals of Elton John in his new album. While creating the album during the pandemic, the global sensation appeared to work with many artists, creating wonderful experiences for him to have in working on the album.
The Lockdown Sessions album delivers vibrance and is diverse from the different collaborations that are used, from Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa and Nicki Minaj to Charlie Puth and Miley Cyrus, altogether it is a magical album.
Seven Shades Of Heartbreak – Mimi Webb

One of our favourite EP’s of 2021 was newcomer Mimi Webb who blew us away with her stunning voice and pure talent.
‘Seven Shades Of Heartbreak‘ was a powerful EP. Combining the energetic pop beats and Mimi’s strengthening vocals, these elements matched well together, bringing emotion and loving power to the songs about heartbreak, pain and relationships.
30 – Adele

Another spectacular album filled with topics to do with love and relationships was Adele’s ‘30‘ album; yes, she returned to music last year after six years since the last studio album.
Like all of Adele’s songs, the tracks on the album were powerful ballads dedicated to themes of rebuilding yourself, having loving relationships with family and trying to return the self-love within yourself. Overall, ‘30‘ is a beautiful and emotional album.
Equals – Ed Sheeran

Since debuting in 2011 and then going off the music scene in 2015 and 2017, we were wondering when Ed would return with his flawless vocals and acoustic signature sound of his guitar. After waiting, he finally returned to music in 2021 with his album, ‘Equals‘, which was admirable like always.
The pop sensation has a gift for music and songwriting, he has a talent for creating empowering music and lyrics where fans can groove to but also relate as well. The ‘Equals‘ album provided a mixture of upbeat pop sounds, which were captivating to hear, it explored a new chapter of Ed’s life of becoming a new father, experiences of loss and love too.
The album gave colour to the life of 2021.
