UK singer-songwriter, Sarah Proctor, delivers another beautiful, serene song called ‘Not For Me‘ to the audiences, who can relate to a heartbreaking relationship that has just come to an end because the feelings weren’t reciprocated same way.

With this recent single, Sarah pours out her heart in the song as she sings softly about a love attachment that has sadly been torn apart. It’s a story where two lovers have grown a strong bond, but one finds out that their admiration for one another was a lie as one didn’t love the other. 

Although listening to the song, you can feel the pain and anger for the person who has been betrayed, the delightful singer still manages to remain calm and sing elegantly with her sweet-sounding but strong vocals. Maybe, the smooth strum of the acoustic guitar and the melodious vocals of Sarah is like this because the title of the song clearly states ‘Not For Me’, therefore she has come to realise that maybe this love wasn’t meant to be, and it’s time to move on, despite the heartbreak inside. 

From the songwriter herself, she explains that ‘Not For Me‘ is about the true moments in her life and finding love for herself. “I wrote ‘Not For Me’ for everyone who has loved and not felt it in return. I think as humans we can sometimes get caught between connections, where it’s not just friendship but not quite love, it’s somewhere in between. I’ve been caught in a few of those moments, and this song & music video completely tell my story of that from beginning to end. My life is made up of all these little moments which have helped me discover my sexuality and realize who I am.”

Accompanied with this love ballad is a music video that portrays the scene of the relationship that has parted away.
