Multiple Grammy-winning Ed Sheeran has released his new single, ‘Shivers‘.
Following on from his previous single, ‘Visiting Hours‘, his new song ‘Shivers‘ increases the tempo like his other recent single, ‘Bad Habits‘. From his recent releases of songs so far, Ed plans to feature these on his upcoming album, ‘Equals‘, which will be out on the 29th of October.
Produced by Sheeran, Steve Mac and FRED, Ed’s new single ‘Shivers‘ contains high-energy, electronic beats and a sweet sound of Ed Sheeran’s signature music of a guitar. The infatuated pop song is about a desire for someone, where you want to be near them and be the only one who cherishes them, and we couldn’t expect anything less from Ed Sheeran as he is known for his heart-led singles such as ‘Thinking Out Loud‘ or ‘Perfect‘.
Accompanied with the single is an extraordinary, iconic fashion music video directed by Dave Meyers. The music shows Ed channelling his Elton John look, wearing vibrant suits, colourful feathers, and funky glasses.
Sheeran will perform ‘Shivers‘ for the first time on national television at tonight’s 2021 NFL Kickoff, ahead of the season-opening game between the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys, airing live on NBC. (check local listings).
In June, Sheeran released the album’s lead single, ‘Bad Habits’, which continues its ascent on the US charts – with a new peak of #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 at Top 40 radio and climbing, and 4 consecutive weeks at #1 at Hot AC radio – while the companion music video has amassed over 150 million views & received 4 nominations at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, including the coveted “Video of the Year.”
