It is all about love this Valentine’s day, especially when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announce that they’re expecting a second child.
Today a spokesperson spoke on behalf of the adorable couple announcing that they are expecting a second child. While making this announcement, a photo was shared where Prince Harry and Meghan are in a beautiful black and white photo of Meghan laying on Harry’s lap outside a garden. The spokesman stated: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

This news comes from months after Meghan sadly suffered a miscarriage in Summer 2020, she revealed this devastating news when opening up to The New York Times, explaining how “Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few.”
Already Meghan and Harry are parents to their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, who is now turning two in May, so with this pregnancy news, Archie could either have a new sister or brother along the way. Alongside this, upcoming baby Sussex will be eighth in line to the throne and will be Prince Charle’s fifth grandchild, the Queen and Prince Philip’s tenth or eleventh grandchild, depending on if their second child arrives before or after Zara Tindall’s new baby.

Meghan and Harry’s pregnancy announcement has been the second in the last week, as five days before Princess Eugenie’s first child, a baby boy.
Congratulations to Meghan and Prince Harry in their expectancy of their second child.
