The two rap queens Saweetie and Doja Cat collaborate on their pop power, rap single called ‘Best Friend‘ which released on January the 8th.
While throwing some sass and attitude, with a mix of an upbeat rhythm, Doja Cat and Saweetie praise each other up on how beautiful they are. Saweetie and Doja cat on a single together is a new powerhouse duo we never knew we needed.
‘Best Friend‘ is a single which has various explicit language to express how both the rap popstars feel about each other. In the single Saweetie sings about how ‘That’s my best friend, she a real bad b*tch / Drive her own car, she don’t need no Lyft.” Doja Cat matches her with equally sharp rhymes: “If she ride for me, she don’t need a key.”
It is a party-like single which surrounds the theme of girl-power, independence and love.
“It’s empowering, it’s fun, it’s sexy but it still talks about some real stuff, and I feel like we’re missing a best friend anthem so I think me and her just fit perfect for it.”
