It is a beautiful society to live in a world where we can all celebrate diversity, especially watching unique, represented TV Shows and Films in streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney Plus.
Here at InCeleb, we are going to share some of our favourite diverse TV Shows and Films from Disney Plus and Netflix:
Teen Wolf

A supernatural based TV series which originated from MTV and now streams on platforms such as Netflix. A young teenage boy discovers that he has become a wolf from an alpha which has now transformed his life. Now young Scott Mccall and his bestfriend Stiles Stilinski and their friends protect their hometown by fighting off the evil demons that lure in Beacon Hills.
The Vampire Diaries

Another great example of a diverse TV series is a supernatural, vampire based series called The Vampire Diaries, where a group of young teenagers face dilemmas, relationship drama and fighting to survive in life in their hometown, while facing the new living of Vampires that change their lives around.
On My Block

A Netflix TV series featuring a story on a group of street-orientated young friends who try to make it through their lives of high school student’s, while facing the consequences of their friend being involved in a gang.
Never Have I Ever

Another great example of a Netflix diverse TV Show is Never Have I Ever which is about a group of Indian-American girls who experience being students in a high-school while being surrounded by crushes, relationships, family and trying to find out who they are as individuals.
Julie And The Phantoms

We especially love the musical Netflix series on Julie and The Phantoms which is based on a young girl who seeks out to find out her true self and finding out if she can face singing and being immersed in music again. Alongside this, she meets the ‘musical sprits’ who change her life for the good.
Black is King

Yes for Disney Plus you can now listen and watch Beyoncé’s visual album of ‘Black is King’ which is incredible! During the visual album, Beyonce highlights the African culture, and features the songs from the remake of The Lion King.
Black Panther

Black Panther is a powerful film about a fictional African country called Wakanda which is under attack by enemies, but the people of the Wakanda fight for their country and desire to return to peace.
Princess and The Frog

One of the ultimate, successful Disney movies of all time, Princess and The Frog is now streaming on Disney Plus. This fairytale, Disney movie is based on a ‘true loves kiss’, which happens to turn the princess into a frog, and now she travels with the prince, who is also a frog, to turn them both back into humans before it is too late.
