At the beginning of July, Disney Plus brought us all-new entertainment as we were able to watch Hamilton the Musical, which was created by Lin-Manuel-Miranda.
Originally the musical was going to be released in theatres in October 2021. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney Plus released it on the 3rd of July, just in time for America’s independence day celebrations.
As it has nearly been a week since Hamilton the Musical was released, here at InCeleb, we have decided to share our five favourite songs from the musical. The songs were produced by Ahmir Thompson, Lin-Manuel-Miranda, Bill Sherman and Tarik Trotter.
- Alexander Hamilton
Of course, out of all musicals, the intro song is usually spectacular, just like the ‘Alexander Hamilton’ song was in this musical. This is an empowering song which tells the story of Hamilton’s life.
2. My Shot
Our next favourite song in the musical was ‘My Shot’. This was an inspiring song about how it is Hamilton’s time to shine and take control. This song also features a rap which is unique and different to many musicals of today.
3. You’ll Be Back
This next favourite is a romantic song with a very catchy melody, that is also composed beautifully. However, unlike most romantic songs talk about love the whole way through, the last lyric of ‘You’ll Be Back’ is very different. Why not listen to find out?
4. Satisfied
For our fourth favourite song in Hamilton, we love the balance between the soothing music which switches to a remix style. Altogether it is an elegant song with elegant vocals.
5. Wait For it
Finally, we loved ‘Wait For It’ because it is very influencing about love and life. It is a hopeful intimate love song which is very emotive and tear-jerking.
At InCeleb we believe this musical is one of a kind and unlike many musicals we have seen, it brings something new to the table, especially how Hamilton the Musical has combined the ordinary sound theme of musical soundtracks with an R&B genre.
