As we reached the end of Pride month, Hairspray musical actress Nikki Blonsky took it to her social media to announce that she is coming out as gay.
During the week, as people celebrated Pride month, Nikki Blonsky shared her big announcement by posting a Tik Tok of her lip-syncing to Diana Ross ‘I’m Coming Out’, as well as dancing in her back garden too. What a very iconic way to announce her coming out!
Nikki said to news sources how she felt it was a long time coming, and since her big news, her loved ones and the LGBTQ community have been extremely kind to her and wished her well.
Nikki has earned many nominations for her amazing acting career, including a Golden Globe nomination.
News sources say before coming out, Nikki decided to text one of her friends, John Travolta, who played Tracy’s mother, Edna, in Hairspray. Nikki said that “I did not want the person who played my mother to have to find out about this from anybody else.”
