Shapeshifter Productions And ‘The Smiling Sessions’ Project

Sometimes kindness and love go a long way in people’s lives. A group like The Smiling Sessions, who are run by a non-profit organisation called Shapeshifter Productions, helped bring joy to people’s lives, the people who need it most, who are the elderly. Before lockdown affected everyone, The Smiling Sessions would host sing a long’s in care homes and community centres for the elderly to help end loneliness and improve their mental wellbeing.

Unfortunately, this had to be delayed because of care homes having dreadful daily reports of death tolls due to the coronavirus. However, many residents are still going strong, struggling like the rest of us through the ups and downs of lockdown and having to deal with deaths of their loved ones.

To continue to spread cheerfulness in this awful situation, The Smiling Sessions are now hosting their weekly sing a long virtually into care homes and for the elderly in isolation. Along with celebrities dropping by to join in with the singing too. In the week’s ahead celebrities such as Lucy PorterDerrek RiddellLa VoixRod Argent, Jay and Cheryl from Bucks FizzDaniel O’DonnellNick Moran and Basil Brush will be joining too.

It is a brilliant and positive thing that The Smiling Sessions at Shapeshifter Productions are doing. It is charities like you that help make the world a better place.
