Pop sensation duo Max and Harvey release new single ‘Overthinking‘, exploring anxiety and how it can be a rollercoaster of chaos when overthinking.
Following on from ‘Fractured‘, the English twin brothers create another track which is deeply personal, honest and vulnerable, where the duo have entered a new era, singing beautifully about new experiences that are heartfelt, emotional and relatable to anyone who listens.
From their past music releases, it seems Max and Harvey are turning a new page, adding more emotional storytelling and being in-depth about vulnerability in their songwriting, creating an increase in power which is remarkable to see in their journey since they started launching as social media and music sensations in 2016.
Singing passionately and pouring all their delicate, inner and deep thoughts of chaos inside ‘Overthinking‘, Harvey uses his own personal experience of the effects of overthinking: not having control over how your brain works, sending you into chaos, wondering what-ifs and if you have done something wrong; analysing all your answers and behaviours, sending you into an overload of emotions where everything gets blurry. It is something that anyone can relate to, whether that is in relationships and wondering why a breakup is heading your way or just by living life, questioning your every move and mistake; they create an importance on mental health and anxiety awareness, which conveys a profound message to have in music.
Along with their raw lyrics showing insecurities and power of truth, the twins add a energetic and ignited music production sequence of dance and synth pop, as the song journeys on through the chorus, the music and throbbing rhythms and pounding drums intensify, showing the esclated and messy way the mind can be sometimes which is a beautiful connection to design, blending the story of the song to the sound which reflects the emotions.
