Pop sensation Teddy Swims lays his heart and soul bare in his new emotional single ‘Perfect Man‘.
Following on from ‘Break Up In Reverse‘, Teddy yet again pours out his inner vulnerabilities in his new song ‘Perfect Man‘, delivering soaring vocals and diving deep into complex emotions, showing his love and commitment inside a relationship while teaching everyone there is no such thing as a ‘perfect man’ and all you can do is love to the fullest and do everything you can to share your heart with that someone special. A beautiful yet bittersweet track which will capture many hearts with his heartfelt songwriting.
Singing passionately in an emotionally charged song, Teddy lays his insecurities bare, revealing the imperfections and flaws we all keep secret. Teddy shares that there is no such thing as perfect; everyone in a relationship has good and bad habits, and it is hard to live up to perfection. As it takes a toll on Teddy trying to be a ‘perfect man’, he shows it’s just about trying hard and fighting for love, without beating yourself up too much. With a beautiful piano ballad and a playful, soulful genre blending in with Teddy’s powerful vocals, which soar through the sky, he increases the emotion and warmth inside the new single, making it tug at the heartstrings like he always does inside his remarkable collection of tracks so far. “‘Cause there’s no such thing as a perfect man/There’s no such thing as a perfect man/I looked her in the eyes and lied, said I was doing the best I can/And that I’m never gonna be a perfect man/’Cause there’s no such thing as a perfect man.”
Sharing tracks ‘Mr. Know It All‘, ‘Break Up In Reverse‘ and his new recent single, the pop sensation gears up for his second album release, ‘UGLY ‘, set to be unveiled next year on the 22nd of January, giving an early taste for fans, where he reveals in his recent songs that it will explore the journeys of imperfections, breakups and the emotional highs and lows in life.
“‘Perfect Man’ is a song about self forgiveness. In my life, I’ve held myself to a standard that is completely unrealistic, I’ve been too hard on myself as a partner, as a father, and in feeling the responsibility that comes with knowing there are people who rely and look up to me. I truly believe our insecurities and our quirks are signs of strength rather than weakness. My hope with this song, and with the work and conversations around it, is that people can find some relief and try to lean into our shortcomings and have an open dialogue about them rather than trying to hide them.”
