Colourful lights, incredible dance moves and upbeat 70s music you cannot help but dance and sing along to, this is what tribute band AB2AB brought to The Huntsman and Hounds in Upminster, Essex, on Friday evening on the 25th of September 2026.
At the start of August, Ember Inns restaurant Huntsman and Hounds in Upminster, Essex, created excitement across their community by announcing a selection of tribute nights hosted by them. From having a Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons night to their second event being a glorious music tribute night to the pop icon band that defined the 70s, ABBA.
Kicking off Friday evening in style at 8 PM was tribute duo AB2AB, featuring powerhouse vocalists Mia Vanessa and Lucy Texeira. Taking centre stage in Upminster’s welcoming restaurant, filled with glorious and tasty food and drink, The Huntsman and Hounds were ready for AB2AB to blow them away and unite them in their love for the magnificent sound of ABBA.
With powerful and enchanting vocals which blew the rooftops, Mia and Lucy poured out their heart and souls in their tribute performance. From the stylish and iconic ABBA white T-Shirts and shorts combo to the white knee-high boots and the fabulous blonde and brown hair wigs recreating the looks of icons Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, the duo brought the 70s ABBA nostalgia to life.
Singing the popular hits of ABBA, including ‘Waterloo’, ‘Dancing Queen ‘ Super Trouper’ and ‘Mamma Mia’, the girls both boosted the positive energy across the restaurant. Not only were they talented at their beautiful singing and dancing, but they uplifted the audience’s spirits to start the Friday night by interacting with them and getting them up on their feet to dance as they sang iconic 70s hits. A delightful way to start the Friday night and enter the weekend!
