Rising Scottish singer-songwriter from Perth, Blair Davie has released their new EP ‘You Like Ugly, Don’t You Babe?’, bringing heartfelt emotion and exploring the journey of relationships throughout their short collection of new tracks.
From starting in 2022 with his debut ‘Stairs‘, Blair has continued to craft lyrics filled with a heartwarming passion and emotional vulnerability; whether it is about life and its chaotic unpredictability or falling in love, Blair pours all their heart and soul, showing in-depth writing that can deliver personal connections to all their listeners, which is beautiful and a remarkable talent to have in songwriting.
Inside their new EP ‘You Like Ugly, Don’t You Babe’, they bring an increase of poignant stories to life, with five acoustic-driven tracks which are calming and translucent to listen to. Blair explores the theme of what it is like to fall in love and have that incredible feeling, while singing beautifully about the highs and lows of being in a relationship. Whether that is gaining that magical feeling of floating on air in ‘When You Fall In Love‘ or how different personalities can blend in nicely in an original love inside ‘So What?’.
It is an EP which conveys a message that you should always take risks in love; it reveals the importance of continuing to be strong and brave, showing your real self inside a relationship, whether it goes uphill or downhill, continue to have that faith and strength, showing your flaws and just being you. An inspiring and hopeful collection of five new tracks.
