Pop sensation James Blunt returns to music with his new single ‘Tastes Like Summer‘.
With his last music release in 2023, his seventh studio album ‘Who We Used To Be‘, James Blunt returns to a new musical chapter with his new track ‘Tastes Like Summer‘, moving away from the melancholic and moving stories of relationships and the experiences of life to more joyful and contented lyrics and music.
Produced by Red Triangle (Richard Parkhouse and George Tizzard), who have worked with Bastille, Sabrina Carpenter, Yungblud and David Guetta. It’s written by James Blunt and Red Triangle and recorded in the UK at Pig Music Studios, Banbury and the Beach in Dorset and is released by his longtime label, Atlantic Records. James says: “’Taste Like Summer’ binds the joy of summer to the joy of being attracted to someone.”
Remaining in his signature style of delivering heartfelt and meaningful stories through his music, his new single is more upbeat but refreshing, like you’re about to have a dip in the pool while the glorious sun shines down on you. It’s also beautiful to see that James has continued to have that same warm and infectious voice, where it feels like nothing has passed since he began his music career with early hits of ‘Wisemen‘ and ‘You’re Beautiful‘.
He celebrated his 20th anniversary in 2024, marking the release of his debut album, ‘Back To Bedlam’, since entering the industry, James has written beautiful stories filled with emotion and movement, creating a poignant feeling as you sit back and listen to his songs.
