Known as ‘ Liv Flaherty’ in the ITV British soap Emmerdale, talented actress from Manchester, Izzey Steele/Little Dog Star, is breaking out into the music industry with her new EP ‘Something Infinite‘.
From her debut EP release, ‘National Disgrace‘ in 2025, Izzey continues to craft lyrics providing honest experiences in real life, beautifully singing with a down-to-earth tone on different perspectives of the highs and lows in life, to the ups and downs in relationships and friendships. Izzey has a knack for writing words which are relatable and meaningful, giving a new insight into the chaotic world we call life.
With her new EP ‘Something Infinite‘, Izzey sings with her signature sound of soothing and angelic vocals, making the tracks on the new release feel light-hearted yet still bringing the emotionally driven stories to life, exploring the changing nature of life turning 360 degrees, whether that is in friendships or relationships, she wonders why good things have to change and why can’t it still the same. The EP surrounds itself with the nostalgic reflections of life and how you meet people, lose people, make connections and lose them too.
Along with her emotional and real storytelling of the various experiences of change in life, Izzey also has a unique sound of the alternative pop genre, making it hers and her down-to-earth, sensible personality, adding laidback guitars and upbeat, relaxing rhythms to make it even more dreamy to listen to.
While we already knew the rising singer-songwriter was known for her talented acting in Emmerdale, joining the cast in February 2016, it was surprising to discover the 25-year-old had another singing trick up her sleeve, sharing her beautiful voice with the world.

Music has always been an undercurrent in Izzy’s life; growing up in the orbit of Manchester’s rich creative scene, she first discovered it through her dad’s car stereos – shouting along to Fun Lovin’ Criminals on long drives with the roof down – and her grandmother’s Elton John songbooks, which inspired her learning of the piano. Touchstones of her upbringing included Radiohead, Rufus Wainwright, and David Bowie, eventually melting with modern influences like Bon Iver and The Japanese House.
