With emotional honesty, rawness and heartfelt words, country singer-songwriter Ian Harrison delves deep into his feelings of insecurity, thoughts on relationships and figuring himself out in his debut EP ‘Jealous‘.
Following on from his EP was his 2025 beautiful single ‘If You Ever Loved Me‘ and comparing this moving track to Ian’s dbeut EP, it shows that Ian is continuing to bring the emotions, happy and dark, to life, showing it is not always balck and white and you can be immersed fully in your emotions to describe the beautiful mess of life, whether that is relationships, making mistakes or just learning your way through life. Throughout his EP, Ian develops to craft moving, narrative-driven tracks which tug at the heartstrings and make you shed a tear because it is that raw and easily resonates with listeners.
What is special about Ian Harrison is that he can turn his good and bad experiences and transform them into emotional lyrics that are meaningful and important to him and anyone listening to his songs, filled with passion and soul. He lays his heart bare, singing with soaring vocals about the heartbreak in trying to find that ‘perfect love’ inside ‘Not Yours‘ to trying to live life while you have obstacles being thrown your way in ‘Cigarette‘ and ‘Jealousy‘.
“I chose Jealous as the title because I truly feel that it sums up the season of life I was in writing a lot of these songs. It was a strong emotion for me for a long time as I was dealing with comparison, and being young,” shared Harrison. “I hope anyone listening to this EP really feels like they know me a little bit better and who I am as a person. I wanted this project to help people know that their experiences are real and there are others dealing with the same thing.”
