Looking through our Instagram feeds, a new artist pops up on our screen with a sneak peek of his new single ‘Run Away‘, and once we heard Sebastian Ingram’s (A.K.A Bastie’s) soaring and passionate voice, we couldn’t help but review his new single.
Yes, while various talented singers and bands can fill a song with passion, honesty and raw emotion, as soon as we heard Bastie’s irish twang and the way he uses emotional intensity inside his new single, you cannot help but feel everything he feels within the new song; a mixture of feeling hurt, wanting to stay in a relationship you know thats ending and just wanting to get back to where it was, it feels like a song you would hear in a climax of a romantic movie where the guy is trying to get the girl, running to her before she leaves the city, you know what movies we are on about.

Produced by CMAT’s Oli, this is his first single for 2026, Bastie’s last single following on from this was ‘She’s Got To Go‘, and from both the current and previous tracks, Bastie continues to bring that upbeat indie pop music, you cannot help but dance and feel a fire in your hearts as you hear Bastie put all his heart and soul while singing his raw lyrics.
While having upbeat, acoustic-driven songs since debuting in 2021 with ‘Lullaby Highs‘, Bastie uses storytelling song-writing which not every artist can gain as this skill takes determination and leaning on your real-life experiences, however Bastie proves he can lay his heart bare and use raw and emotional honesty inside his songs, while laying the track with a upbeat pop music production elevating the moving emotions, tugging at the heart strings as his listeners hear his heartfelt words on songs surrounded on love, breakups and growing throughout life.
Receiving praise from BBC Introducing, HotPress, Earmilk, and Clout, Bastie and his band are the new music icons to look out for and to follow as they rise high in the music world.
