Discover the Groovy Energy of Baby Queen’s ‘Word Vomit’

Alternative pop artist Baby Queen, A.K.A. Bella Latham, is bringing more and more grooves to her music with her new single ‘Word Vomit‘.

Following on from her previous single ‘Feel Something‘, Baby Queen continues to provide irresistible grooves and catchy choruses that are relatable and like a drug that makes you want to dance all night long.

With humour, descriptive storytelling narratives and honesty, Baby Queen remains creative when crafting sensational lyrics, especially in ‘Word Vomit’, where she uses creativity and humour-driven lyrics passionately sing with an unfiltered look at being drunk in a club while being in front of your crush. A song we can all relate to in some way. “I swallow my pride/It tastes like shit/I spit it back out in the bathroom sink/Then I go back home and sit out my couch/And I think about you till the sun comes out/And now I never wanna drive down that street/Don’t want to remember what you look like when you leave.”

Consisting of a blend of 80s grooves and upbeat alternative pop, the song is one of those hits you would hear from a Netflix Young Adult romantic series like ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved’ or ‘XO, Kitty’, it brings that heartfelt, chaotic and warming energy that makes you feel happy to listen to while watching a couple coming to life on screen.

“This is the story of a comically and cosmically humbling night in the history of my life, and I hope it acts as a warning not to drink too much tequila in the presence of somebody you really fancy.”

Since releasing her debut EP Medicine, Baby Queen has been on a creative, talented musical journey, delivering singles and EP collections which derive from themes on relationships, heartbreak and identity, navigating your way through life while jumping across obstacles, making your way to the finish line. Baby Queen makes it relatable where you feel heard, using her experiences in real life and transforming them into comedic and emotional storytelling.

Baby Queen made an emphatic return to the live stage recently with an intimate show at London’s Hoxton Hall. Following a grand entrance on a horse-drawn funeral carriage – a symbolic tribute to the death of her ego – the South African-born artist delivered an energetic and, at times, emotional set, debuting brand-new songs alongside fan favourites. Bella was backed onstage by some of the musicians she made her new album with, including producer Alex Casnoff on keys.
