LA-based singer-songwriter Stella Lefty knows how to craft spectacular songs, diving deep into meaning and honesty, creating music that feeds the heart and soul, making you want to sway side to side and forget about your worries. This is what Stella does in her new EP ‘Is This Heaven?‘.
In the past few weeks, the rising star has continued to share sneak peeks of her upcoming tracks, which feature on her new EP, creating excitement among her fans. Stella revealed through posting the songs that her EP continues to deliver tracks that speak on identity and growth, where she has remained to sing beautifully on music that describes living life while learning in love and relationships.
Filled with poignant vocals, hazy and laidback music you could hear while lying on a field on a breezy summer’s day, the EP consists of six beautiful tracks exploring themes of growth, identity, and relationships.
Introducing her new collection, collaborating with singer Vincent Mason, with a soft guitar melody on ‘Something To Lose‘, Stella sings with her dreamy vocals on learning about yourself while being in love, recognising that when you gain someone to love more than yourself, you’re at risk of having ‘something to lose’. It is a delicate yet upbeat song that focuses on an important meaning of how it is easy to love someone but difficult to also lose them, hoping it never translates to that devastating experience. “Oh, I was a wild horse built for runnin’/Didn’t see those blue eyes comin’/This was never supposed to be nothin’ but a little somethin’ to do/I got good at bein’ lonely ’til you showed me I was better with you/Now I got somethin’ to lose, lose.”
While starting with a slow, romantic acoustic melody on the first track, Stella increases the tempo, making the romance lift more with upbeat drums and rapid acoustics on ‘Why Wouldn’t We‘. Feeling like you’re floating on air, listening to the heartfelt lyrics inside the six songs, Stella shows how love isn’t always about the pain, but how it can transport you into a sparkling daze, filled with sunshine and happiness – the feeling of falling in love with someone you couldn’t picture your life without.
“‘Is this heaven?’ No, it’s Iowa.’ I love this quote from my favourite movie, ‘Field of Dreams’. It’s the perfect way to sum up everything I’ve been doing lately,” says Stella about the project. “I never believed that people could connect with my songs like this. It feels like heaven to me. I feel like I’m in a dream, and I just want to stay asleep a little longer so I can keep living in this moment. The music feels the most ME it’s ever been.”
Since starting in 2024 with her debut single ‘Kiss Me‘, Stella has continued to deliver songs that not only create a feel-good atmosphere but also contain lyrics that are filled with honesty, showing the importance to her, which makes listeners relate to her beautiful words even more. Influenced by the likes of Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, the rising star knows how to capture the true picture of romance and relationships inside her songs, while delivering a deeper understanding of how you grow and learn in life while being immersed in love.
She continues to expand her live footprint after spending the last year joining tours with Will Swinton, Alessi Rose, Porchlight, Jessie Murph, and Wyatt Flores. Stella just wrapped up her run as an opener for Cameron Whitcomb and will be joining country sensation Tucker Wetmore on his summer tour, all while also entering a major touring cycle with U.S., EU, and UK tour and festival dates, including CMA Fest, Osheaga, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza.
Furthermore, the star has also recently announced she is going on her very first headline tour in October – tickets are on pre-sale now.
