Wionna Oak’s ‘Breaking Point’: A Deep Dive into Mental Health and Relationships

Swedish singer-songwriter Wionna Oak releases new single ‘Breaking Point‘ exploring mental health and the feelings of entering a breakdown while being in a relationship.

Following on from recent track releases ‘Do You Hate Me Now’, ‘Horses’ and ‘Stay the Night’, Wionna Oak has unveiled her brand-new song ‘Breaking Point‘, where she explores themes of relationships, trying to navigate through mental health and trying to be yourself.

While the new song can be taken in many different perspectives where Wionna describes the new release on being in a relationship and trying to find the real person you are, it can also be seen as the meaning of trying to fight her way through the torments and obstacles of life, where the songs that she has released so far feels like a testament to survival.

“’Breaking Point’ is about the moment when the illusion finally cracks. I wrote it from a place of realizing that sometimes we hold onto a version of someone that isn’t real, or a version of a relationship that only works because we’re overlooking what’s happening. Once that clarity hits, you can’t unsee it, no matter how much you might want to go back. It’s about recognizing the point where staying starts to cost you more than leaving. It captures that quiet but defining shift from holding on to finally letting go.”

The lyrics go into a vulnrable side of Wionna which is portrayed throughout her various music releases so far, she has a way of putting her vulnrable emotions about life and being in relationships into a emotional, moving song which anyone can relate to.

While unveiling her new single, Wionna has also announced that she will set to release her second studio album, ‘Bloom‘, which will be out on 25th Septemeber.
