From becoming a global pop sensation boy band in 2000, Blue has returned with their new song, ‘Flowers‘.
Following on from their early 2026 seventh studio album, ‘Reflections‘, which reached number two on the music charts, Blue has now released their new single ‘Flowers‘, co-written by pop sensation Robbie Williams and Boots Ottestad.
The new track combines an upbeat harmony with lyrics filled with melancholy. It speaks on the reflections of actions and mistakes that have previously happened in a relationship, and now they sing about their regrets and wish they could turn back time.
It is a song which makes you want to rock out with Blue, especially because it features a rock-heavy chorus, which sets it apart from Blue’s early music releases in the 2000s, where they were pop-oriented. It seems from their last album to their newly released track, Blue are progressing with the times, embarking on a dance-pop and pop-rock era.
Blue’s Antony Costa says, “Having an icon like Robbie write a track for Blue was an honour. Robbie reached out to me a while back and said ‘I’ve got a song for Blue’ . We only got to record it recently, and thought it would be perfect to release for our 25th anniversary tour. It’s already sounding amazing in rehearsals with the live band – we can’t wait for you all to hear ‘Flowers’.”
The band is now embarking on their 25th anniversary tour, with band members Anthony Webb, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe. UK dates extend beyond the core anniversary tour, which is underway, with close-up record store dates, select festivals and big outdoor shows.
