Foster the People releases summer feel-good single ‘Take Me Back’

Multi-platinum and Diamond-certified group Foster The People return with their new single ‘Take Me Back‘, which will feature in their upcoming fourth studio album, Paradise State of Mind.

Produced by Foster The People lead singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Foster and bandmate Isom Innis, the track jumps in with a feel-good musical sound, creating a fusion of an upbeat 80s pop and disco style, making listeners feel relaxed while streaming the joyful track.

Take Me Back‘ is the second anticipated song yet to come on their fourth studio album, ‘Paradise State of Mind‘, which will be released on August 16th. Already, the group have shared their previous single, ‘Lost In Space‘ which increases the joyful, 80s-disco rhythm they continue to add to their energetic yet relaxed music sound.

Speaking on the new single, the group describe it as “(invoking) moments of psychedelia, the space age, the anthemic of the ’80s, and dramatic disco strings,”.

Take Me Back‘ features distinct and unique vocals, while having a nostalgic feel, singing on reflecting about the ‘good times’, the song will remind listeners of an all-time good summer feel when they hear the interesting style of their newly released track.

2011 saw Foster The People unveil their 3x Platinum-certified debut album, Torches, which went to #1 on both Billboard’s “Top Rock Albums” and “Top Alternative Albums” while reaching #8 on the Billboard 200 and later receiving a GRAMMY® Award nomination as “Best Alternative Album.”

Now they get ready to prepare for their upcoming album release in August, while also heading out to do a live performance in Austin City Limits Music Festival (Oct 4-6 & 11-13). For more information, please visit http://www.fosterthepeople.com.
