Singer-songwriter Florrie reveals she is not going anywhere with the release of her new debut album ‘The Lost Ones‘.
Capturing a ‘heartbroken in the club’ energy feel to the album, Florrie expresses themes of love, loss and honesty about the torments and troubles of life.
Introducing her album is the title track called ‘The Lost Ones‘ where the London-based singer presents a raw narrative, singing about the difficulties of not fitting in and being lost throughout life. A song which we can all relate to. The first track brings us a taste of what is yet to come throughout the album of twelve emotive and real songs.
Starting in 2010 Florrie’s musical sound has developed where she takes control of her own stories and music style, going from a sweet, delicate tone to an upbeat and strong musical production, making her songs more passionate and empowering.
Tracks on the album such as ‘ Bad Movie‘ and ‘Never Far From Paradise‘ create compelling uptempo sounds which are catchy and make you want to dance. While having this feeling, Florrie makes you balance out within her album, adding lyrics that are truthful and have meaning to life and people. In ‘Never Far From Paradise‘, with dreamy vocals, Florrie opens up singing about ‘Sometimes it’s hard to see the light/So this is for the ones that tried and failed/Travel to hell and back/We’re never far from paradise.’
The London-based songwriter has received huge acclaim for her work as a member and in-house drummer for Xenomania, the supergroup of songwriters and producers known for some of pop’s biggest hits. Florrie has co-written for huge artists such as Kylie Minogue, Rebecca Ferguson, The Saturdays and Pet Shop Boys.
