The Native release their 'Looking Back' music video

The Native release their new music video to their EP title track ‘Looking Back’

Since releasing their EP in August, the quintet band The Native has finally released their new music video to their EP title track, ‘Looking Back‘.

The boys are making highlights throughout their career so far; from playing at Reading and Leeds festivals and releasing their EP, they’re showing everyone that they are here to stay and continue to make fresh music.

Since releasing their ‘Looking Back‘ EP, the Plymouth band have gained many fans who adore their music. With their live energy, effervescent melodies, and colossal hooks as it freewheels between elements of alternative, indie, rock and pop, the boys know what it takes to produce captivating music for listeners.

The entire EP was produced by John Cornfield (Oasis, Muse, The Stone Roses) and mixed by the Grammy Award-winning Adrian Bushby(Foo Fighters, Muse, Everything Everything) then provided mixing. With the success of their EP, The Native have now unveiled their breathtaking music video featuring the stunning view of Devon Coast.

Directed by their regular collaborator, frontman Charlie Noordewier’s brother William, the music video reveals the band singing on top of a cliff, showing a person jumping into the deep beautiful blue seas of the coast, embracing the message of how it’s okay to take risks.

Their indie-pop song describes all the things that happen in the video, showing how it is normal to reflect on your life and to see how far you have come, but at the same time, it is good to move forward and try to grab the opportunities as best you can.

While releasing their music video, the band also announces how they will be a support act in the Bastille tour. One of the band’s very first gigs came when they supported Bastille at a huge MTV show in Plymouth, and they reunited for a UK arena tour this year, which included The O2 in London and saw Bastille’s Dan Smith wearing The Native’s t-shirt design. As well as the European dates with Bastille, The Native conclude their summer festival adventures at the Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival before hitting Live At Leeds next month.
