Since her debut in 2019, Gyakie still continues to deliver her listeners compelling rhythms, beautiful vocals and harmonies, and with her new EP ‘My Diary‘, once again she draws listeners in with her unique talent for creating pleasing sounds. 

‘My Diary’ continues on from the beautiful narrative of her debut EP SEED, this time chronicling the starlet’s encounters on her pathway to finding her galaxy. Armed with her delicious velvety vocals, Gyakie breaks down the EP in a track-by-track showcase of her musical range starting with mellow jazz symphonies on the opener.

The EP is definitely one of a kind and its because Gyakie brings different musical genres to her songs, it’s not just using only one style, instead, she brings a little bit of jazz, some afrobeat and R&B, and altogether her list of songs is a variety which we cannot stop to listen to. 

‘My Diary’ features her thoughts on love, intimacy and romance, which are all relatable. Songs such as ‘Far Away‘ and ‘For My Baby‘ portray a fiery atmosphere, giving off the heat as she sings about relationships. 

While creating a list of chilled-back songs, Gyakie is also joined by Davido on ‘Flames‘ to bring a more upbeat sound to the track, making it want you to dance to it.
