Entering the music industry last year with her debut single, ‘Before I Go‘, 20-year-old Mimi Webb has compelled people with her stunning vocals, and thanks to the power of TikTok and Charli D’Ameilo, her single went viral. Conveying emotions of love, Mimi shows her artist image of ‘girl-next-door’, but still carrying a personality full of strength, power and intensity when she sings.
Since producing five romantic ballads in her career so far, the ‘Good Without‘ singer has obtained an excellent style of music that is joyous to listen to. Just like her previous singles, ‘Dumb Love‘ is soulful and upbeat, starting with a slow piano; Mimi narrates the story where she reminisces about a relationship that had a love that was full of memories and laughter. Mimi opens up and describes the song on the story of where “You fall crazy head over heels for someone, and it’s all about that fresh new love feeling you get. That ‘is this actually real’ feeling & sometimes, it’s the most real, because ‘dumb love’ really never ends.”
The message conveyed through the delightful music video directed by Elliot Simpson. The video brings the story to life with a ton of emotion and a sharp sense of humour, as Mimi reconnects with an old flame at a wedding where everything else just seems to go wrong in a hilarious fashion.
