On 12th of February JLS band member, Aston Merrygold released his new single ‘Overboard‘.
Being in one of the most successful boy bands has proved Aston has talent and an impeccable voice. Now Aston has released his new single, ‘Overboard‘, he plans to be working on upcoming music soon.
“I’m very excited to be releasing ‘Overboard’. It’s great to have been back in the studio working on new music, and there’s more to come as well! I can’t wait to see you all soon when it’s safe to do so”.
‘Overboard‘ is an R&B pop song combined with a touch of underground hip-hop music which creates an upbeat, fresh sound of Aston’s single. In his new song, Aston sings with confidence about how he is ready to make the next move in his relationship with his lover; it is a spicy love single which makes you want to groove to it.
‘Overboard’ was written by Aston alongside Andrei Mihai, Lil Eddie and Alvin Anthony, and it was produced by SHOEBA, a duo whose recent tracks have been released by Spinnin’ Records.
‘Overboard’ kicks off a hectic year for Aston. The hugely anticipated JLS reunion tour will be their first since 2013 and is currently scheduled to commence in June. It proves that their popularity remains undiminished some twelve years after they first broke through with the unforgettable ‘Beat Again’ and ‘Everybody In Love’. The tour comprises 28 arena shows across the UK and Ireland, including three nights at London’s O2.
There’s also much more to come from his solo career, plus a new series of the CBBC drama ‘Almost Never’ in which he stars as the manager of the boyband The Wonderland. Aston has recently been the Robin in the second season of The Masked Singer UK too.
